Let's Hear It For...Dianna

Updated: May 8, 2023

Catch us up! Tell us about yourself, and what’s happened over the last 15 years?

So many blessings have happened over the last 15-years, and I am truly grateful for all of them. From a personal perspective, my husband, Brian, and I celebrated our 10-year wedding anniversary in 2022. I also became a mother to two amazing children: Brice is 5 and Arianne is 16 months. From a professional perspective, I am a Marketing Manager in the telecommunications industry and an Executive Director for a nonprofit organization, The Outlet Community Church.

What major life milestones have happened since we last saw you 10 years ago?

Our 10-year reunion was awesome. It was great spending quality time with my Spelman Sisters. Two major life milestones took place since then: I became a mother of two with my daughter, Arianne, being born, which is a game changer. I also received my Master's in Business Administration from the Michael J. Coles College of Business at Kennesaw State University.

What are you most looking forward to this reunion?

Filling my heart with the warmth and spirit of our Class of 2008 sisterhood and unspeakable bond.

What do you value most about your Spelman experience?

Having the opportunity to be in an atmosphere, daily, among some of the most intelligent, beautiful, talented, and courageous African American women and being a part of the Morehouse Cheerleading Team are two of the things I valued the most about my experience as a Spelman student.

The network and sisterhood that takes place beyond the golden gates is the experience I value the most as a Spelman alumna.

What’s one thing about yourself that your Spelman sisters may not know?

My son, Brice, and I share the same birthday on January 23rd.

What impact would you like to make on the world?

I would like to inspire and encourage people to not only accomplish their goals, but to be their best selves that they can be. With everything that is happening in the world, being the best that we can be always helps to make our communities better places.

What most excites you about your future?

What most excites me about my future is to truly see what God calls me to do in my next chapters of life. I know he only has the absolute best for my life and I am thrilled to continue to see what that entails, as well as traveling the world to see and understand all that is around us.
