We arrived as the largest freshmen class Spelman had ever seen in 2004. Too many to house, nearly 700 of us appeared on the scene to start a journey of becoming uniquely made. 14 years later, we reunited at the Alumnae Arch after earning graduate degrees, giving birth, beating the odds, traveling the world, abandoning the old for the new, saying I do, growing, and navigating this thing called adulthood.

 

Through it all, the "Spelman" in us has reminded us how fierce, capable, and deserving we are. This was a celebration a decade in the making. A celebration of us - who we were, who we are, and who we are becoming. The women whom Spelman made.
