  • What is the difference between dues and registration?
Class dues will grant access into all events hosted by our class, with the exception of the SpelHouse08 party. Dues are separate from Reunion registration, which is managed by the College. Registration grants entry into ticketed events hosted by the College and other commemorative items. Both dues and registration are non-refundable. For questions about class dues, contact spelman08reunion@gmail.com. For questions about Reunion registration, contact reunion@spelman.edu.
  • Is College registration required to attend Reunion?
No, registering through the College is not mandatory to celebrate Reunion with us. Classmates still have the opportunity to attend class events (by dues) and traditional Reunion activities open to all alumnae.
  • Are there any College-hosted events I can attend if I don't register?
Yes, the College will host traditional Reunion activities that are open to all alumnae, regardless of registration. Unregistered alumnae may still participate in: - Class Photo (May 18 at GICC) - Class Meeting (May 19 at GICC) - March Through the Alumnae Arch (May 19 at Spelman)
  • Where will College-hosted events be held?
All college-hosted events will be held at the Georgia International Convention Center (GICC), with the exception of March Through the Alumnae Arch. The March will take place at Spelman on the Oval on Friday, May 19. Please note, access to campus will be very limited due to construction and existing Covid protocols.
  • Can I pay for Class-hosted events individually?
To ensure accurate head count, class-hosted events will not be sold à la carte, and dues will not be accepted at the door. However, tickets for the SpelHouse08 party on Friday, May 19 will be available as a separate purchase (details TBA). We appreciate your understanding!
  • Can I invite a guest to attend Class-hosted events with me?
Due to space and budget, class-hosted events are limited to dues-paid classmates, unless noted. Note: this does not apply to the SpelHouse08 party on Friday, May 19. Tickets will be sold separately. Please stay tuned for more details.
  • When should I arrive in Atlanta?
If able, we recommend arriving Wednesday, May 17 as activities will begin early Thursday morning. The College will host Sisterhood Breakfast & Convocation (for registered alumnae) on Thursday at 8 a.m., followed by Class Photos (for all alumnae) at 11:15 a.m.
  • What other opportunities are there for alumnae during Reunion?
The Arts, Music, and Literature Showcase is an opportunity to spotlight alumnae in the arts. If you are interested in your selling products, email reunion@spelman.edu for more info. Registration not required to participate. A commemorative Reunion Box is available for purchase to all alumnae. The Box includes signature items from Spelman and local vendors. Neither registration nor in-person attendance is required to order. Cost is $200 while supplies last. Order by March 31 at spelmanlane.org/_reunion23.
